S.M. had e-mailed me, so I called her back. We're going to try to get together on Friday. She's already Christmas shopping for her niece and nephew, as they told her at Thanksgiving what they wanted.
I asked for fic recs, and got a few, but a couple of them I'd already read. I had enjoyed the ones I'd already read, and read a couple of the other ones that were recommended, and liked those, too. I need to be more specific about what I like.
I'm not sure if I'm going to go out today. The main shopping area around here will likely still be very busy. Also, it's very cold out. I'm thinking of going to the Indian grocery tomorrow for chicken tikka masala and either an eggplant dish or goat curry. Maybe I'll cook some basmati rice today so I have some ready for tomorrow.
Slightly later: Mom and I went out on a couple of errands. It was cold out. I got gasoline. The price for that is down from what it was. We looked in Target for a few things. I was looking for a bottle to put a very thick cocoa butter lotion in, because it's nearly impossible to get it out of the bottle it's in. The soap dispensers and other bottles with tubes there had very slim outlets (whatever the word for that is). That thick a lotion would not go through that pump top. I'll keep looking.
Much later: I talked with A. for over an hour.
(Added: Noting that the Indian grocery is closed on Mondays.)
