I'm not sure when I went to sleep, but I don't think it was too much after three. I woke once and went back to sleep. J. woke me at 1:00 p.m. I hadn't wanted to sleep that late. I did my usual morning routine, and then we watched the Avengers movie. I enjoyed it. I didn't think it was that slashy, unlike apparently a lot of slash fans. I could barely see why characters in it would be slashed with each other. J. hadn't seen Thor, and I told him the movie would make significantly more sense if he'd seen Thor.
I knew the characters in their comic book incarnations. Black Widow was in a fair amount of the Spiderman comics I read, and perhaps some of the Daredevil ones. I read my share of Avengers comic books with Hawkeye in them. He didn't really get character development in the movie. I liked what interaction he got with the Black Widow, and the other superheroes' interactions with each other.
I'm used to comic books where Nick Fury does more fighting, though I think he did some shooting in the movie. I still have the picture of what he looks like in the comic books in my head, though I'm getting used to the movie version. I think I'd have to watch Thor again to get really used to what the Warriors Three and Heimdall look like in the movie as opposed to the comic books. All in all, I have enjoyed the movies.
I headed out almost immediately after seeing the movie. I left around 4:45 p.m. and got home right at 7:00 p.m.
Later: I saw You Gotta Let It Out had finished Theatricality. That was an episode I was really looking forward to her song analyses of.
Later still: I read over the entry. I realize I'm being very indirect talking about race in the movies. I fear that I'll sound ignorant, or even more so than usual. Steve Rogers after the super-serum, Thor, and Tony Stark look like the comic book versions. Probably a lot has to do with the hair for Thor, and the costuming. It's partly the facial hair for Tony. I don't feel like elaborating on other characters at the moment, though I may add or subtract sentences or paragraphs from this post later. I change what I've said in posts regularly enough.
