I went out and took pictures of the cardinal flower. There are two flower stalks on one plant, and a flower stalk on another plant. It must be pretty happy there by the end of the drainpipe. It's a wetland flower. The red of the flowers is so saturated a color. I took pictures of the tiger lilies and the lantana. The sambac jasmine has a couple more buds.
AE had an interview with Darren Criss. I made a fairly innocuous comment. I'm sure there will be lots of comments.
Dear Author featured Shield's Lady as a discounted book, one of their deals, on Kobo if you used a coupon. I have a Kobo account and I used the coupon. Now it's a matter of downloading the book so I can see it on the e-reader, which I've tried a few times now. I've managed to do that before with other books, so I'm not sure what the problem is now. (Added later: I synched my Kobo library with my e-reader and ended up with lots more books on my e-reader, including Shield's Lady.) I'm pretty sure I've read Shield's Lady, but didn't see it offhand in my collection of Jayne Ann Krentz/Jayne Castle/Stephanie James etc. books. It wouldn't be under Amanda Quick, because that's her pen name for historicals, and Shield's Lady is one of her early futuristic books with characters with psychic powers.
A.C. will be coming here tonight. I gave her directions, and she looked it all up online, so we'll see how she does. I'm sure she'll call, and I'll talk her through the last parts. Her plan is to take the Pennsylvania Turnpike from central Pennsylvania to southeastern Pennsylvania. A.C. estimates it will take about three hours. I'm sure I'll have much more to say on A.C.'s visit.
