getting out Saturday

Dad was going with some of the veterans from one of his veterans groups to a military history museum.  It was in Spring City, PA.  The place had been a mental asylum, Pennhurst, and now has a VA (Veterans Administration) medical center and a National Guard unit there.  He asked me if I wanted to go, and I said yes.

The museum was in what had been the women's building of the asylum.  The asylum was closed because of scandals about the treatment of the residents there, as many asylums were here in the 1960s and 1970s.

The museum had uniforms, and weapons, and various accoutrements of military life.  We got quite an informative tour.  There was a lot to see in a few rooms.

Dad drove on the way there, and I drove back.  It was a rather lengthy drive, but I enjoyed the tour and seeing everything.

I'm noting a Tumblr quote to remember.  Quite Contrary/mzminola (http://mzminola.tumblr.com/) was talking about a TV show, a cartoon, I think.  Weeds and Weeds' sister(?) saw the same show, apparently.  Here's what Weeds wrote: "This was the point when Zoe turned to me and said 'That is not neurotypical executive functioning right there.'"  I believe it was about one of the show's villains.  I just want to remember the phrase "neurotypical executive functioning."  I have a good idea of what it means.

Later: I fell asleep by 8:00 p.m. and slept until 11:00 p.m.  That wasn't my plan.
