later Sunday

A. tried calling around 9:30 p.m. my time, but I was downstairs having a late dinner.  He tried again around 10:00, and I was back in my room at that point.  He told me his stories of going clubbing in Green Bay.  I find it funny that it's his young straight buddies that are taking him out to a gay club.  Well, apparently the club is kind of mixed, but more of a gay club than anything else.

We talked about various other things.  I said that my main excitement was watching TV.  Again I have the question of why, if people hate a show, are they watching it?  They can change the channel, or turn off the TV and go do something else.  I'm not actually following Tumblr that much except for a couple of sites, but many of the fans get seriously worked up.  My thought on that, as on romance novels, is, "It's fiction, people."  Not that I don't get excited, but I'm far from being a teenager.

A. and I talked for about an hour and a half.  I thanked him for me being able to have vicarious clubbing adventures through him.  I said I hadn't heard from S. in a little while.  "And you're my go-to guys for vicarious adventures."

"Your go-to gays," he said.
