Thursday: I arranged a little basket of flowers with azalea and sweet woodruff, and brought that in to garden club. I overslept, but made it there by lunchtime. I missed the business meeting, but not the annual meeting. The annual meeting wasn't too bad.
RM (Racheline Maltese) wrote a post on Letters from Titan about Glee, and how the plots in "Choke" were not A plot, B plot and C plot. It works better if there's a main plot and then smaller plots in an episode.
The plot I liked was the part with Kurt, as there was finally some progress on the NYADA plot that's been going on all year. Kurt decided to take a risk in his song choice and performance, and it paid off. I read about the play "The Boy from Oz" in a Wikipedia article. If I understood it right, by singing "Not the Boy Next Door," Kurt was essentially coming out. I am not particularly a show tune fan, so the song itself didn't do a whole lot for me, but I thought it was an energetic performance, and that it did show off Kurt's talents.
I really thought Rachel was going to try to sabotage Kurt, but she didn't. I was glad for that, at least. Julia of "crown of weeds" had a post several days before the episode about Rachel and self-sabotage, so she totally called it. I wish she was doing her lists of episode reaction, but it doesn't look like we're going to get that.
There was a cute bit with Mike asking Blaine for hair gel advice, and Blaine happily giving it. I wish Blaine kept his hair natural, but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon. I've seen pictures of the actor with his hair natural and long, and I think it looks good that way.
