quiet Wednesday

It was rainy out today.  I did some editing and was online for good stretches of the day.  Mostly I'm still following the Glee comments on AE.  Education on trans/genderqueer issues is getting to be more apparent in various sections of the m/m romance community.  Despite all I've read, I know I still have a lot to learn.  I think this development is a good turn of events.

Many of the commenters on AE have very thought-provoking things to say.  I don't agree with it all, but it's still very interesting to me.  There's gotten to be quite a discussion of the politics of the closet.  Also there's a discussion about bullying, and how bullying not related to one's sexual orientation and/or gender non-conformance can still be very damaging.  This is quite true.  For a pop culture site, the people who post often enough talk about serious issues.  Despite its flaws, Glee does bring up some issues that resonate in real life.
