I'll list some of my Saturday reading when I read some novellas or novels.
Much later: I found the folder I'd had Changeling novellas in before my hard drive crashed. I'd lost so many books when that happened. That was in April, and I'm still trying to find some in September. There are probably hundreds of books that I haven't located yet still somewhere in the computer . I re-read some of the novellas and read a few I hadn't read yet.
I also decided to read a couple of books I'd recently put on the e-reader, and read Pinky Swear and Bloody Queens. Pinky Swear was pretty good. Matt and Laine grew up together, then separated after college. Laine won't leave his elderly landlord alone in the French Quarter when Hurricane Katrina hits New Orleans, and Matt, now a reporter, comes into the flooded city to try to rescue Laine. I think there are a couple of sequels with those characters, so I may get more of Lynn Lorenz's books.
Bloody Queens was supposed to be a historical, but the characters used modern language and had modern ways of thinking. The book was set in the Old West, but was an OK Homo book. A number of the supporting characters were fine with Mordecai and Barrett being attracted to men and having a relationship. Some authors have characters not okay with gay men and same-sex relationships in small towns in the modern American West, which I think is probably fairly realistic. I just started pretending that it was a modern-day romance/murder mystery in which the characters rode horses, wore corsets, and went to a saloon.
