Mom heard from her physical therapist that a Mediterranean restaurant sort of near us was good, so she got the idea to go there.  I love trying new things, so I got ready quickly and volunteered to drive.  Mom directed us well, and got us to the shopping center the restaurant was in.  I got a kibbeh, which involved ground beef in a wheat shell.  Mom and Dad got shawarma sandwiches.  The kibbeh came with hummus and baba ghanouf, and I had a yogurt and cucumber salad with it.  The kibbeh was all right, but I think I'd get shish kabobs next time.  I tried a bite of Mom's shawarma, and liked that.  We got baklava for dessert.  We all shared a serving of that.

I'll do some reading and some editing tonight.  I got Longhorns.  I wouldn't call it jumping on the bandwagon, exactly, because I'd read the Man from C.A.M.P. books a few years previous, and am reading the "Deadly" series.

The tiger lilies are blooming.  Dad's been spraying them with Deer-Off, so they actually got the chance to bloom before being eaten.  I went out and looked at them before dinner.

I read Lucky, by K.M. Mahoney.  I'm pretty sure it's the first time I'd read a book of hers.  Alli was so angry and antagonistic, it was hard for me to understand why Michael kept trying with him.  The writing was good, and you could understand why the character was so angry, but he wasn't all that likeable.  I would still recommend it, especially to those who like fairies and shapeshifters.
