Paul Neyron rose 2

Monday

I should go to bed pretty soon.  I don't have to be anywhere tomorrow, thank goodness, but I think Mom has shopping plans.

Later: I did actually go to bed "fairly soon."   I woke early, but I napped now and then.  In the afternoon, the L.s and I walked around town to see the pretty flowering trees and other flowering plants.  A lot of daffodils were out, and a few people had early tulips. There was what I think may have been creeping phlox, or perhaps vinca, and what was probably squill.  Someone had anemones.  When we got back to their house, I showed them my sort-of-collage pages of bulbs, and Mrs. L. showed me where she'd planted the hyacinths and tulips.  The hyacinths were blooming.  For her, 'Sky Jacket' and 'Gypsy Queen' were blooming, and what I think was 'City of Haarlem' was in bud.  I guess that blooms slightly later.  The tulip leaves were up, but those tulips weren't blooming yet.
