Paul Neyron rose 2

Saturday

I should go to bed relatively soon, in an hour or two.

Later: I stayed up late watching CNN, but woke up early for no apparent reason.  I cut back the leaves of the irises that are currently living in the vegetable garden and weeded around them.  It looks much cleaner in that area now.  The rhizomes of some of the irises I got in the summer of 2020 seem to have grown bigger or multiplied.

I went around the yard and pulled plant labels that were faded.  I washed the labels and rewrote the names.  We'd called the L.s, and I was starting to put labels back where I wanted them when they got to the house.  Mrs. L. had altered a mask for Mom, so Mom could see if she liked elastic straps on it better than the cloth ties.  Also Mrs. L. brought back the book club book she'd used, since Mom had gotten a bag of the books.  This month the book was Educated.

I came back in after I did some of the labels.  We chatted for a while.  I wanted to show Mrs. L. the labels that marked where I'd planted the bulbs I got in the fall.  We walked around the yard.
