Paul Neyron rose 2

Wednesday so far

I turned off the computer at 11:00 p.m., and the TV at 11:30 p.m.  I finished White Rage.  The book had had a lot of depressing facts and logical arguments.  It ended on a note of hope, though.  The book was published before the recent elections.  I went to bed around 12:30 a.m. and couldn't get to sleep.  I watched TV for a while and read for a while.  I had an early breakfast, and then went back to bed around 6:00 a.m.  I was able to get to sleep then, and slept until a little after 11:00 a.m.  I had decaf coffee in the late morning yesterday, and then decaf green tea late at night.  I guess they still had enough caf in them to keep me awake.

I went to the upscale grocery store.  It was busy, but it's such a big store that the people were spread out, and I was able to move around freely.  I got my things and went to the express lane.  I got in and out of the store pretty quickly.

I chatted with A.W. on and off for a while, between doing random somewhat helpful things in the kitchen.  The turkey still has a lot of defrosting to do.  I called Ms. F. and left her a message wishing her a happy Thanksgiving.  I arranged to talk with A. tonight, so I'll need to keep my phone on me.

Later: I chatted with Riah for a while.  I gave up on the abutilon, because it had lost most of its leaves and didn't seem to be happy in the corner of the dining room.  Dad took it to the back door.  The zonal geraniums are still blooming, though, and the 'Maid of Orleans' sambac jasmine still has a couple of buds.  I am hoping the jasmines make it through the winter.

Later than that: I helped Mom with the apple pie.  We watched another episode of "Call the Midwife."  I talked with A. for half an hour.
