Paul Neyron rose 2

Monday so far

I went to bed around 2:00 a.m., which felt like 1:00 a.m., after finishing Reading Between the Signs.  It took me a while to get to sleep.  I got up with my alarm at 10:00 a.m., which felt like 9:00 a.m., feeling decent enough.

Mom wants me to go with her to work, as she's working the 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. shift today, and wants me to drive her home.  I really don't want to drive in the dark and rain.  I wish she didn't have to do it either.  Just a few more evening shifts until she retires.  Not that she's counting or anything.  (She's counting.)

A few hours later: I didn't go to work with Mom.  I went and got a haircut, then stopped at a small grocery for oranges and croissants, and then at the usual grocery for other things.  Several Avengers fics updated today, and I read the new chapters.  YMCA-P. called, and we talked for a little while.  He said he'd call back again tonight.

Later: I won Midnight Rodeo from a Julia Talbot contest.  Presumably it was a random drawing.  I told Julia I was a longtime fan.  I think I've been reading her and B.A. Tortuga's books since 2007 or so.  For several years, I thought that Sean Michael, B.A. Tortuga and Julia Talbot were all one person, but apparently Julia Talbot and B.A. Tortuga are two separate people.  Together they are Rob Knight. Touching Evil was one of the first m/m books I read after the gay romance Romentics books by Scott & Scott. Touching Evil was too spooky for me, but I like my fluffy books.  Another m/m book I read early on was Historical Obsessions.  Once I discovered that those trade-paperback-looking things were actually print-on-demand books that had been e-books first, I went on to read many more books by Julia Talbot and a multitude of B.A. Tortuga's cowboy stories.
