Paul Neyron rose 2

Sunday so far

I turned the computer off a little after 11:00 p.m.  I went to bed at 1:30 a.m., but couldn't get to sleep.  At what would have been 2:15 a.m., but was really 1:15 a.m. because of the time change, I took a couple of Benedryl.  I must have dozed a little, but I woke at 4:00 a.m.  I went back to bed and fell asleep again.  I woke at what would have been 11:45 a.m., but was really 10:45 a.m.  Still, it was no good.  I think I'll take some Benedryl at midnight tonight.

I got an editing job to do and went through it once.  I'll go through it again and return it in the evening.

Bleeding Heart by Melissa Graves is free today from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo and on the Interlude Press website itself.  I read the fic and liked it.  I think I read the first chapter of the book before.  I like it all right.  Brian (not-Blaine) describes himself, which could have been done more smoothly somehow, but was necessary.

A few hours later: Dad and I went to get gasoline, drop books off at the library, and go to a grocery store.

Later: I finished up that editing job.  I talked with A. for about an hour.  He said he'd gone to a Halloween party as Tommy Blade, a Spinal Tap kind of character, and spoken in some kind of lower-class English accent (he did the accent for me) for much of the night.  I told him about the plagiarism thing where a m/m romance author had taken at least two m/f books, changed the names and physical descriptions and published them as original fiction.  He told me how there wasn't much left of the Backlot, that it had mostly been absorbed into NewNowNext. He said he'd looked at the AfterEllen site, which was still (or again) its own separate thing.  He said they were having a femslash tournament.  I had him send me a link.  I read more Avengers fic.
