Paul Neyron rose 2

Sunday so far

I turned off the computer near midnight.  I sat up rereading the later parts of Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell.  I went to bed at 1:00 a.m., but didn't go to sleep right away.  I tried again at 1:30 a.m., and I don't think it took me long to get to sleep.  I woke at 8:45 a.m.

I picked up another editing job.

A few hours later: I went to the grocery store.  It was very hot out.

I finished the editing job.

I texted a little with J.-PA and WhiteSheepCBD.  I arranged to talk with A. this evening.  Vo updated her Winter Soldier A/B/O fic and asked for comments.  She said she was having a bad day.  I said what I liked about the fics in the series.  I was sincere.  As is my way, I wouldn't have said it if I didn't mean it.  Another couple of the fics I follow updated, too.  I may comment on those, too.

Later than that: The Phillies actually won.  That makes it three games in a row that they won, which hasn't happened in a very long time.  I had stayed downstairs on my laptop during the game, because the downstairs part of the house is about ten degrees cooler than upstairs.  The TV that more than one person at a time can watch is downstairs as well, so Mom and Dad were sitting in the family room watching TV.  I expected that since it was an afternoon game that I would be able to stay downstairs for a quiet evening.  Instead, Mom started listening to an audio book mid-book.  That's worse noise pollution than Dad's movies, which he often starts watching in the middle.

So Dad will sometimes work outside, or sometimes not, but when he comes into the house, he puts on a channel that shows movies.  He will start watching the movie in the middle, which I could never do.  Then he'll switch to another movie during a commercial in the first movie, and switch back to the first movie when the second movie has a commercial.  I don't see how someone can watch TV that way, but it's his preferred way to watch TV.

A. called, and I vented to him about having noise in the afternoon and evening, and having to retreat to my room upstairs, which has to be over 80 degrees F, for some quiet.  It was 95 today.  The house is kept at 76 or so, but that's the downstairs.  A. told me about his last couple of weeks, including his going to Green Bay Pride.

At least I got the editing job done in a day, and got my grocery shopping done.
