Paul Neyron rose 2

Saturday -- travel and family

I went to bed around 1:30 a.m. or so, and I don't think it took me long to get to sleep.  Mom woke me at 9:30 a.m. to ask if I wanted to go to Baltimore, which we'd been talking about doing.  I said she could have woken me at 9:00 a.m.  I was feeling okay, so we drove down there.  We stopped at a farm stand along the way, and got strawberry rhubarb pie and cider doughnuts.

It was nice to see J. and K.  We went to the pool in their development.  We had dinner at an IHOP (International House of Pancakes).  We don't have one near us.  Between then, J. turned the TV on, and I asked him to turn it off so we could talk.  He said that he could watch TV and have a conversation at the same time.  I said that I couldn't.  K. said that she couldn't either.  Dad likes to have the TV or radio on when he's doing other things.  J. turned the TV off, but he was very indignant about it, and really didn't want to talk.  I had a good talk with K., though.

K. got a tattoo.  It's the word "persevere" with a little floral design around it.  I'd been wondering why she was wearing a cuff around her wrist.  She wasn't sure what Mom would think.  J. has lots of tattoos, not that Mom approves, and I have one of an English rose.  K. said that maybe she'd give it a few months before telling Mom, and I agreed.

Later: I talked to J.-PA a little bit.  I listened to the Lima Heights Adjacent podcast.  It was the top ten favorite episodes, #8.  It was "Silly Love Songs."  I enjoyed the episode, and the discussion of it.
