I basically spent the day contending with the stomach virus from Hell.
I typed up a few pages about fandom and fan fiction. Dennis came up with his own answer about why women are interested in stories about gay men. I wondered why he'd asked me for an answer.
I am still contending with the stomach virus from Hell. I went to the doctor. She gave me an anti-emetic. She told me to stay hydrated, and recommended drinking a mix of half-Gatorate (diet) and half-water to keep my electrolytes in balance.
Aside from that, I sent Dennis more of my writing about fandom and fan fiction. There are good sides and bad sides to fandom, I said. I've only heard about the bad side secondhand, because I am a nobody in the fandom. I'm pretty happy staying that way. I have my people I talk to, and people I just follow, and that's fine.
I hadn't planned to leave the house today. I hadn't yesterday. Yesterday was supposed to be rather warm out, then rainy. I could hear the rain. Then the temperature dropped to below freezing for today. I bundled up.
I listened to the Lima Heights Adjacent podcast recap of "City of Angels." There was a lot of giggling and going off on tangents. The podcast folks -- and I've seen this elsewhere -- thought that in the fifth season, Finn was supposed to become the person in charge of New Directions, replacing Will. I think it's possible. They said it would have kept an anchor in Lima when the current bunch of seniors graduated. I will watch the episode again, but I'm still kind of bummed out.
I saw that the "Queer on Glee" podcast will be on Saturday, and one of the people participating will be Jamie. I was excited. Another will be Persephone. I've seen Persephone post about being multiracial, but haven't seen her post on queerness. I don't follow her, so I could have missed quite a bit. I am looking forward to hearing the podcast.
