Thursday so far

There hasn't been much of Thursday for me yet.  I lay down around 1:30 a.m.  It took quite a while for me to get to sleep, and then I woke at 5:00 a.m.  I went back to sleep.  Mom woke me at 9:30 a.m.  I was still very groggy.  I went back to sleep and woke at noon.  I was doing better for a while there, but I haven't been doing well lately.  I need to follow the instructions from the doctor who specializes in sleep disorders better, and do something for a while after I turn off the computer, so my brain gets a chance to not be so activated from the computer.  I think I would have gotten to sleep more quickly if I'd done something else besides being on the computer for a while before I tried to get to sleep.

I had Jasmine Pearl tea.  It's been good weather for hot tea, and I found the boxes and bags of flowering tea I had.  I have a lot of kinds of tea.

I sat under the sunlight-effect lamp and read Jak's "The Multiverse Crisis" again.  I read the first story in the Lovesong 'verse, "Together."  I have read all that's on Preciousmellow's LJ.  There's a bonus chapter in the print fic, J.-PA tells me.  I probably will get more print fics if the Box Scene Project offers them in the next few weeks.  I will make sure to write down which ones I asked for this time.

I want to go to the grocery store.  Mom wants to go to the library, which is near the grocery store, so perhaps we'll combine the trip.  She and Dad went to a Land's End outlet this morning.

Later: Mom and I went to the library, the grocery store, and to Dairy Queen to get pulled pork sandwiches for dinner.  I paid off my overdue book library fines, got groceries, and got dinner.  All in all, I feel like that was somewhat productive.

I saw that F Yeah Glee Podcast has four podcasts so far planned for the hiatus.  They are a podcast on "Grey" (the sequel to "All the Other Ghosts"), "Friendship on Glee," "Race and Ethnicity on Glee" and "Queer on Glee."  The podcast folks want good representation for the race and GLBT podcasts.  That led to Nadiacreek race-baiting and queer-baiting.  She was told what she was doing wrong, but persisted.  She doesn't actually want to learn.  I think they'll get good representation, though, and they should be interesting podcasts.

the year so far

I should have gotten out more, but I had a lively life online.  I learned a lot about genderqueerness in different countries.  I did volunteer proofreading for a few people.  I didn't weed at all.  I got a flat of plants at the herb sale, and planted them in pots, but some got hidden behind all the mistflower on the west side of the house.  I never did plant the spicebush I got at the Tyler Arboretum.

I spent a lot of my time watching Glee and reading meta about it.  It kept me entertained.

My disrupted sleep patterns remained disrupted, but I'm working on that.

It would have been better for me to interact more with real people offline, but I made some online "friends."  I corresponded via e-mail to people I knew from what was AfterElton and is now the Backlot.  I think I've been on Tumblr for a year.  I encouraged several fan fiction writers to write original fiction, because I thought they could write really decent "pro fic," going by how well they wrote fan fic.

All in all, so far, I've had better years and worse years.
