Paul Neyron rose 2

Sunday so far

I think I fell asleep around 1:30 a.m.  I got up at 8:00 a.m. so I'd have time to have breakfast, etc.  The hotel had breakfast from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., and checkout was at 11:00 a.m.

The plan is to drive back to Pennsylvania today.

Later: We got back home late in the afternoon.  We had lunch at a New Jersey Turnpike rest area.  There was an Arthur Treacher's there.  There's none immediately near us in the Philadelphia suburbs we live in.  I had fish and chips.  I'm sure it's not like the British version, but I enjoyed it.  It's fish fried in batter, and French fries.  It came with hush puppies, which are fried, onion-flavored balls of some sort of dough.  I think they may be a Southern thing.

I called S.M. during our trip, and talked to her for a little while.  We're going to Longwood Gardens on July 3rd to see a fireworks and fountains show.  (www.longwoodgardens.org)

It was a long trip, but nice to see our relatives.

Later: A. sent me the third of the articles about Stonewall that he's doing.  This one is about the organizations that formed afterwards.  I called him to let him know I got it and we talked for a while.  In addition to our discussion about the article, we talked about various other things.  Among them, I talked about the anniversary party and he told me about going clubbing Saturday night.  We're talking very frequently now that I'm proofing articles he's writing.
