Paul Neyron rose 2

Friday so far

I got gasoline, since I was down to a quarter tank after driving to Baltimore and back.  I got to the grocery store.  Mom wants me to come to the university where she works to see the students put on the play "Man of La Mancha."  I haven't seen the play.  I think it's based on Don Quixote, which I haven't read, but have heard a lot about.

I talked to S.D. for a bit. J called, and I talked to him for a little while. He got a new job.

Later: I really enjoyed the play.  The university library closed at 5:00 p.m. and the opening remarks before the play didn't start until 6:30.  I was restless during that wait in the music and theater building.  Starting at 6:30, a Spanish professor and three of her students gave some history about Don Quixote and Cervantes.  The play started at 7:00, and I was swept away by it.  The actors were very good, and I enjoyed their singing, too.  I particularly thought that the actor playing Cervantes/Don Quixote had a very nice singing voice, and so did the actress playing Dulcinea.  All of the actors sang well, in my opinion.  I thought they were quite a talented cast.

There's a workshop and concert by F to eMbody at [local university] soon. I'm noting to myself as an event to possibly attend. I got an e-mail as a GLBT organization alum.
