Paul Neyron rose 2

Friday so far

I slept from 3:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  I'd still like to get more into doing 2:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., ideally, but that wasn't too bad.  I woke up cold.  I need to get my comforters and afghans from the shed.  They're in plastic storage containers, so hopefully nothing got into them.  I had breakfast, then lay down under what covers I had again for a while.  By then I was wearing sweatpants and a hoodie, but I was still cold.  I said hi to S.D. and asked her if she'd like to make another e-reader cover.  I like having quilted covers.  We never did get around to getting her the measurements for the Kindle Touch, though.  I'll see her in a couple of weeks, and maybe we'll get it written down then.  I'm wondering if Kindle Touch covers will be on sale cheap once the Kindle Paperwhite comes out.

Dad and I dropped my car off at Firestone.  The "check engine" light went on yesterday afternoon.  I looked at the gas cap to see if that was loose, which it was, but when I tightened it, the "check engine" light stayed on.  The Firestone folks said they'd take a look and give me a call.  The car is making a squeaky noise, too, but I have no idea what that would be from.  I hope it's not an expensive squeaky noise.

Later: I bundled up and went out to look at the flowers.  The mistflower is still blooming.  I took a few pictures of the open blooms on the mystery pink rose.

The folks at Firestone called, and it will be a repair that's less than $150.  I had feared it would be more.

Later still: I got my car back.  We got my comforter out of the shed.  It was in a plastic bag in a plastic storage container, and looked fine, but smelled musty.  I washed it.
