Paul Neyron rose 2

Thursday so far

I went to bed at 3:00 or 3:30 a.m., and woke at 12:30 p.m.  I had brunch and some Kahlua and cream.  It was really only a small amount of Kahlua, less than a shot glass full.  I fell back asleep and slept from 1:00 to 2:00.

I somehow got into clearing off my desk.  I'd been wanting to do it for a while, because the papers were piled high.  I put various papers in folders and binders, and recycled a lot.  It's much better now.

I went outside.  It was pretty nice out.  'Duchesse de Brabant' has a flower opening and a bud with the sepals lowering.  A small white rose in what used to be the herb garden has a bud with sepals down.  'Marchioness of Londonderry' has a bud showing color.  The mystery pink rose has two flowers open, another opening, and several more buds.  The mistflower is in full bloom, and so is the goldenrod.

Later: I finished up an editing job.  I've gotten a surprising amount done today, considering.

I finally finished Five for Silver.  Maybe I'll get through books six, seven and eight this weekend, or at least next week.

I watched Glee, but I'll do another post on that.

Thursday TV - Britney 2.0

This week's episode of Glee had a fair amount going on.  Brittany isn't doing well without Santana.  There was a whole lot of meta about lip-synching, which I found very funny.  I kind of expected another sex riot, but it didn't happen.  Puck showed up.  I figured it was a matter of time before Will told Puck about Jake.  I didn't expect it as early as the second episode, but I'm glad Puck knows about Jake now.

Unique was wearing girl clothes the whole episode.  I'm sure Biyuti was paying close attention to those parts of the episode that Unique appeared in.  Blaine had his moments, too, singing a song with Artie and having a few lines.  I don't think Blaine is the leader of the group, exactly, but he seems to be speaking for it sometimes.

Jake joined New Directions.  I knew that was also a matter of time.  He looked at them and saw them as freaks, but he still made himself part of the group.   Jake looked at Sam, Joe, Blaine, Tina, Unique and Artie.  He looked at their faces, and in Blaine's case, Blaine's bowtie, too.  He said to Marley that ND were losers, but joined anyway.

Sue kicked Brittany off the Cheerios for a while.  Brittany drew a picture on an algebra test and labeled it as Happyville, the town where math was never invented.  Once again I was right there with her.  She's getting tutored, so we'll see how that goes.  Brittany resigned from ND.  She'll be back.  That's yet another thing that's a matter of time.  ND needs twelve members by Sectionals and one way or another they'll have them.

There's a Marley/Jake/Kitty love triangle, but I don't care that much.  Marley and Jake sang a song together, so they'll have a relationship sooner or later.  That's how it works.

Kurt is adapting to life in New York, and has plans.  That should develop more over the next couple of episodes.
