Paul Neyron rose 2

Thursday so far and trying to communicate

It's another scorching day outside.  Luckily, I still have plenty of editing to work on.  I promised to do another read-through of Tiger Cub's book and have it back to him by the end of the week, so I could do that today.  I'll probably do at least half of that tonight.  It's easy reading and I've already been over it twice.

I tried to write privately to Calanthe-b (Quite Contrary) and was unable to.  I put my request in the comments of one of her posts, where I'll probably draw the wrath of fandom.  I said that I had pre-ordered the Glee season three DVDs, and hoped for the director's cut of the Christmas episode, and would like to write and ask about that.  Calanthe had done a sample letter to the network that didn't really apply to my situation and what I wanted to ask.  But I figured that if she'd done a sample letter that she could help with another.  The other people I would ask are too busy, or have given up on the Internet, or have their own issues about writing.

There are so many people who just want to boycott the DVDs, and so many who have sworn not to watch the show again.  I have the feeling that some who are now swearing they won't watch it will have changed their minds by September.  I am trying to stay away from the hate, but I fear that by interacting a fraction as much as I want to, I'll get drawn into it.  They're pretty good on AfterElton about keeping things fairly civil, considering it's the Internet.  There are other people I communicate with who look at positive things about Glee and make constructive criticisms.  The haters make me feel sad.

I'll see what happens with my note to Calanthe.  (Added later: I got a nice note back.)

I had successful communication with S., who called near noon.  He and M. are working things out, which he was very relieved about.  I was happy to hear that.

Later: I'd been playing phone tag with P. for a couple of days, and she called me in the early evening.  We talked for a few minutes.

Later than that: I fell asleep at 8:00 p.m. and slept until 12:30 a.m.  It's 2:00 a.m. Friday now.  I guess I'll be working on Tiger Cub's story later today.  I got another shorter editing job to do.
