Paul Neyron rose 2

more of Friday, into Saturday

I stayed up late going through Tiger Cub's novella for the second time.  I got through about half of it.  I tried to go to sleep around 3:30 a.m. and ended up actually falling asleep at 5:30 or 6:00 a.m.  This is getting into bad habits again.  Once I finally got to sleep, I slept for several hours.  I had "breakfast" around 1:00 p.m. and then lay down again for a little while.

I went out to see the roses.  'General Jacqueminot' had a flower very low to the ground.  It has one long cane that had a couple of flowers on it, and what must be a very short cane that that blossom is on.  Some of the roses are nearly done blooming, but I have several now that should bloom again.

I finished reading through Tiger Cub's novella today.  It's a lovely deconstruction of the "Gay for You" trope.  Tiger Cub both followed and satirized the tropes of m/m romance.  I hope he can teach other guys to follow the tropes.  Most male authors get "That's not what we want," but the few who get the genre are given much more in the way of "authenticity" credit.  It's strange that way.

I've gotten a lot of editing done over the last few days.  I feel good about that.
