Paul Neyron rose 2

in the garden

Begonias doing well, especially the pink-flowered one with bronzy leaves which is by the front door.  Red geraniums blooming -- they're so cheerful-looking.  TIger lilies in bud -- at least the few which haven't been beheaded by the deer.  Pineapple sage looks good.  Purple heliotrope blooming.  Cardinal flower plant well leafed out.  Will start blooming in a few weeks.  Elecampane looks like it will start blooming soon, maybe when it gets a foot or two higher.  Mint collection doing well.  Emerald-and-gold mint has filled its pot, spearmint is in various places by the back door, applemint near the path to the front door.  Some bee balm in the herb garden -- that usually blooms around the Fourth of July.

interesting website

Started reading "Bad Fanfic! No Biscuit!" (http://www.englishchick.com/badfic/).  The examples made me shudder -- the ones I could read.  Some I read the warnings on and decided that I couldn't deal with right then -- or possibly ever.  The ones I did read were horrific in their pure wrongness.  The stories were deliberately done that way, to show what not to do.  I don't know if the people who would benefit from these lessons would actually read through the website, but I would fervently hope that some do.
