I don't have to be anywhere on Saturday, thank goodness.  If it's not raining, I have plenty of flower bulbs to plant, plus several iris rhizomes.

It was quite cold in the morning.  I was slow to get moving.

Once I got moving in the afternoon, it was to go to the library, and then to go to my favorite Indian grocery.  I picked up fruits and vegetables and sweets and drinks at the Indian grocery.  That was quite a productive trip.  It was busy there.  I said to the lady at the counter, "You're very busy for the holiday?"

Her expression lit up.  "You know Diwali?" she asked.

"Not so much," I said, or words to that effect.

The lady asked, "You know Christmas?"  I said I did.  "Diwali is like Christmas," she told me.  I'll have to look it up.  I know it's called a festival of lights.

It was getting colder again when I got home, and I was losing light, so I didn't get around to planting the regal lilies today after all.  Soon, though.  It needs to be soon.
