Retrospectively: I don't think I went to bed "soon." I went to bed when I was very tired, and then woke up at 4:30 a.m. I ended up staying up for a couple of hours catching up with writing e-mails, and then went back to sleep. I got up "officially" for the day a little before 11:00 a.m.
After lunch -- brunch for me -- Mom and Dad and I went to the church library, where Dad and I helped Mom. I worked in the fiction books we unpacked a couple of weeks ago. I wrote in the ISBNs of the books on the card catalog cards done before Mom became the primary person to volunteer there. When she did the cards, and then started switching over to having it all electronic, she put the ISBN on the physical or virtual cards she created. We got from near the beginning of the "G"s to through "Karon," as in Jan Karon. The church library has a lot of Jan Karon's books.
Just before we went there, I went around the yard and put rewritten labels by assorted plants that needed labels. I'm glad I got outside a little bit, because by the time we called it a day for church library stuff it was raining quite hard outside the church.
There's a fall-blooming crocus blooming near the "crocus garden." It's a lavender-blue in color. I guess it's Crocus speciosus? 'Teasing Georgia' is blooming, and 'The Fairy' rose has several clusters of little double pink flowers. That is a strong rebloomer. The saffron crocuses have leaves coming up, in the "herb garden" that has a lot of other things besides herbs.
