Later: I actually did go to sleep very soon after that. I woke up around 7:00 a.m. for no apparent reason. One of the irises I picked from the vegetable garden opened overnight. I think its name is 'Magnolia.'
The Byzantine gladiolus has been blooming. It's earlier to bloom than the tiger lilies and daylilies, so I won't have the magenta of the gladioli against the orange of the tiger lilies and some of the daylilies. That's okay, though.
I have an appointment today in the early afternoon.
Later: I made it to my appointment, so that was good. I did a lot of yardwork before and after. A good amount of it was weeding. I found the 'Mme. Legras de St. Germain' rose under the oak tree that Dad let sprout a couple of years ago, and wrapped it in hardware cloth and chicken wire.
In the afternoon, I planted the tricolor sage in the herb garden. I also planted three of the Oriental lilies that I got from Dutch Bulbs on May 6.
