The regional electric company has been working on the powerlines and transformer near us, and did a phone message on Friday night that said that our power would be out somewhere between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. We were waiting for it, but it didn't happen.
It was pleasantly cooler outside than it had been. I watered my plants and pruned a little here and there. I also got a bunch of fall and winter clothes out of the shed, with some help from Dad. Dad also found my box of cookbooks, or at least one of the boxes.
I sent a text to J. around noon, and he called later on. We talked for some time, partly about what he wanted to do for Mom's birthday. K. wasn't feeling too well, he said, and Morris the puggle was sick, too. He was thinking about coming up next weekend, but would see how the other members of the household were feeling at that point.
