As I told Mom, if I'm not in the hospital today, it's going to be a better birthday than last year. I guess there was a bit of a silver lining in having 2019 be the worst birthday I've had. It set a low, low bar.
I got up around 9:30 a.m. I sent a text to J. and K. at 10:00 a.m. saying that I wasn't throwing up and I wasn't in the hospital, so it was already a way better birthday than last year. J. sent a couple of quick texts, then called and had speakerphone on their side, so I could hear both J. and K.
I want to work out in the yard before it rains, so we'll see how that goes.
Later: I got a good amount of yard work done. Mostly it was planting the flowering plants I got at Home Depot and bulbs I'd gotten some time ago from the Christmas Tree Shop. I planted some daylilies in wide shallow pots. I'll see how fast they get eaten.
We're supposed to get thunderstorms and hail tonight. I'm really glad I got those bulbs and stuff planted while it was nice out. Mostly I planted things in pots, so I brought the pots in or at least onto the porch. They should be somewhat shielded on the porch.
I picked up a takeout dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse. Mom and Dad sang "Happy Birthday" to me after we finished dinner. We didn't have cake, but I'd gotten cinnamon swirl bread yesterday at Walmart, so we had that.
