I was up very late last night.  The good thing was that I didn't wake up at 4:00 a.m.  I was still up, reading.  I got some sleep, then got up at 10-something.  I wandered downstairs and saw my folks watching the video Palm Sunday service from the church they attend.  It's relatively nicer today than it has been.  I'll probably take a walk.

Mom and I took a walk in the afternoon.  We drove through a part of the development we don't usually go through, and parked at a cul-de-sac.  A number of people in that part of the development had daffodils blooming in their yards, and pretty flowering trees.

After Mom and I went home, I changed to a pair of jeans I use to work outside.  Last week, I had dug up a number of irises from where they'd overwintered in Dad's vegetable garden.  I'd planted some of them, and a few perennials.  Some animal had dug up an iris and a columbine I'd planted, and dug a number of holes in the ground by the porch.  Today I planted that iris elsewhere, and properly replanted the columbine.  I hadn't been able to do a good job of it in the rain last week.  I also planted the rest of the irises I'd taken out of the vegetable garden, mostly in pots.  There's still a line of irises on one end of the garden, but Dad should have room to work.  It will be a while until the last danger of frost, and one waits to plant tomatoes until after that date.

The hyacinths are blooming, and the Judd viburnum is in bud.  The mahonia still has some flowers, and the winter honeysuckle is in full bloom.
