Sunday

The time changed.  I'd gone to bed not too long after midnight, if I remember correctly.  I woke at 9:00 a.m., but it felt like 8:00 a.m.  I had slept a lot yesterday, though.

I had a pretty quiet day.  Dad had stayed home from church, since he wasn't feeling well.  He was watching a Gilbert & Sullivan play that he had a VCR tape of when I came down for breakfast.  That was really more noise than I wanted.

Dad had gotten the e-book Antisocial by Andrew Marantz as an e-book from the library.  He told me when he'd finished it, and now I'm reading it.  I'd known some of the story and the players before, but this book links more of it up.

I wasn't planning to do gardening things, but Dad said he'd like for me to clean the anise hyssop stalks with seedheads on them out of the raised bed.  I started on that project, and continued with taking dead leaves off the irises in the raised bed, and then cleaning up the "crocus" garden, which is at this point mostly iris and daffodil leaves.  I think both gardens look much better.

A second flower has opened on the 'Tete-a-Tete' stem I brought in.  I didn't think it would open from a tighter bud than the one that was partway open when I brought it in, but it did.  It's very cute.

I walked around the yard.  Our neighbors' son or grandson has a cute little dog.  Perhaps it's a cockapoo.  She was very enthusiastically fetching a ball.  I said hello to the son or grandson, and then said that I was pretty sure there were a lot of rabbits in our yard, and that might become distracting for the dog.  V.(?) said that she was very focused on her ball.  She barked at me, but clearly didn't know what was our neighbors' property and what was ours.  I said hello to her, too.  I don't mind a cute little dog running around in our back yard.  Note: Her name is Cocoa.
