A few hours later: I made it to an appointment pretty much on time, which was good. I went home for a quick lunch, and then Mom and I went out. First I dropped Mom off at the library. I went to the Habitat store and exchanged the tie-dyed T-shirt that didn't work well for me for a costume jewelry necklace with an open-weave design ball pendant. The pendant has a snowflake sort of design and a little pom-pom inside the sphere that works as an oil diffuser. I have lots of essential oils, so I'll have to try it out sometime when the parental units aren't home.
I went back to the library. I said hi to R. from the Friday Night Friends, who was there, and introduced her to Mom. I got the other Finishing School books (Parasolverse) from the library. Hopefully I'll read that series in the next few days. Mom and I were tired by that point and headed home. After we got home, I walked around the yard. The 'Cream Beauty' crocuses are up, though the flowers were closed when I saw them in the late afternoon.
Tulip and daffodil leaves are up in various places in the yard. In the backyard, in the "herb" garden that's mostly bee balm, the 'Ice Follies' daffodils have buds still enclosed in green sheaths. If the buds were showing color, I would probably pick them, but I don't think they'd open inside at this point in their development. I picked a bunch of snowdrops to enjoy them inside.
