Mom and I are discussing various places to go and things to do.
As it turned out, we got nowhere fast. Eventually we got to IHOP for the 58 cent short stack of pancakes, and then to the library for a "Meet Your Local Police" event in the evening. It was interesting. They had good advice. One of the circulation desk people who knows me was at the YA department desk, and I said hi. I was trying to remember where I'd heard verbal reviews of "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Rocketman." I think it was on Jeff & Will's Big Gay Fiction Podcast. Mom and I got "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Apollo 13" from the AV section. I showed the young man at the circulation desk who likes Lovecraftian-derived fiction my "Miskatonic University Library Science Dept." T-shirt. "I had to explain to Mom that it wasn't a real university," I said. Mom told him that she had an actual library degree from an actual university.
We heard a crack of thunder as we were getting ready to leave the library, and it was starting to rain as we ran to the car. Fortunately, the rain wasn't torrential when we got home, and we trotted into the garage without getting soaked.
I may try to go to bed relatively early tonight.
