In the mid-afternoon, I walked around the yard. There are a lot of snowdrops blooming. The deer seem to be eating leaf and flower buds off the winter honeysuckle. The 'Mammoth Yellow' crocuses are blooming at the edge of where I planted crocuses, tulips, daffodils and hyacinths on the side of the hill. There are a lot of daffodil leaves coming up in various places in the yard.
In the evening, the Friday Night Friends went from our YMCA to another YMCA for a St. Patrick's Day party. It was nice. I participated in a fairly low-key way, by doing a couple of word find puzzles. The bus ran out of gas two blocks from the Y we started out from. I called Dad and asked him to come with a gas can of gas. He had a bit left in the gas can for his mower, and then went and got more from a relatively local gas station. K., the leader of the group, and S., the bus driver, were very grateful. Once the parents and guardians of the other Friday Night Friends participants figured out that the bus was only two blocks from the Y., they picked up their children or relatives. Dad saved the day for S. the bus driver, though.
