I got up for the day at 10:00 a.m.
Mom and Dad went over to Mrs. L.'s to drop off a bunch of Mom's clothes.
I went over there around 3:00 p.m., to see if Mrs. L. could fix my winter coat. I knew there was supposed to be snow coming in the evening. Mrs. L. worked on the coat for a while, and then pronounced that there wasn't a way to fix the zipper. She pointed out that the coat had snaps, though.
When I left there at 4-something, the rain had started to turn into wet snow that melted on contact with the car. I stopped at Walgreens. By the time I left there, snow had stuck on my car and in the parking lot. I fishtailed around through the borough on my way home, and burned rubber trying to get traction in ascending up through our development.
Dad was out on the driveway shoveling snow. He saw me pull up across the street. Dad tried to back the car into our driveway, but said that the car had done a 180 when he attempted that. He managed to get the car into the driveway nose-first. And there it would stay, I decided, until the snow melted.
I believe I had a quiet evening after that. I know I didn't feel like doing anything ambitous.
