Later: As might be surmised from above, I went to bed around 2:00 a.m. or so, I think. I got up a little after 9:00 a.m.
I wasn't feeling very good, but after breakfast and some Advil, I felt a little better physically. J. texted a "Merry Christmas" message to me.
I texted various people with Christmas greetings in the morning.
In the early afternoon, B. called to say that HHA-B. had called out at 12:30 p.m. I got to B. and R.'s at 1:30. I brought the little white tinsel tree that T., the volunteer for Friday Night Friends, had given me a few Christmases ago. I hadn't been able to find the ornaments that go on the little trees, but it had the lights on it. R. was thrilled to have something to make the place more festive. I brought the little loaf of gingerbread I had gotten at the Amish Market last time Mom and I went there, and gave B. and R. a couple of slices each.
After I got home from work, I planted the Old House Gardens bulbs I had gotten at the beginning of October. I'll see what comes up. Most were sprouting a little. The tulips I planted were 'Prince of Austria,' Generaal de Wet,' 'Couleur Cardinal,' and 'Rococo.' The daffodils are 'Mrs. R.O. Backhouse,' Louise de Coligny,' 'Romance,' and 'Double Campernelle.' The crocus are pink tommy crocuses, 'Vanguard' and 'Blue Pearl.' 'Vanguard' is described as having "platinum" outer petals and "amethyst" inner petals. The tulips are respectively red-orange, golden-orange and red. The first three daffodils named are pink (apricot) and white. I believe the campernelle is yellow.
In the evening, Mom and I watched the Christmas episode of "Call the Midwife."
