I'd stayed up until 4:00 a.m. to finish an editing job.  I got up around 10:00 a.m., still very groggy.

I worked and shopped and worked some more.  B. said that he and R. liked the new home health aide they'd gotten on Tuesday.  This was a different one from the one whose car had broken down on Monday.  She's nice and she's experienced, they said.

I shopped for me and for the guys, then dropped the food I'd gotten off at home, since much of it was perishable and I hadn't brought a cooler bag.  The guys thought something had happened to me, but I came back to their place with their stuff, which hadn't needed to be refrigerated.  They thought I'd been in an accident or something.  "No, I just went AWOL," I said.  I'd already worked the two hours I was supposed to work that day before I left to go shopping, so they were relatively settled, the dishes were done, and I'd taken care of the pets.  I gave them their (non-perishable) groceries, and did a little more cleaning, and they said I should call it a day.  I think I just came home and sat for a while, then went to bed very early.
