I put new color ink in my printer and tried to print a picture. The printer was offline. I gave up after a while and went to work. I had taken another painkiller before I went to work, and it had kicked in fairly well by the time I got there. B.'s back was itchy, so he had me wash it. Otherwise he was all right, and got settled and comfortable pretty quickly.
I cleaned up after Miss Daisy. I told R. to have his lunch while I got laundry started, but he was busy trying to get his smartphone working. Eventually he had his lunch, and I cleaned up in the kitchen. Laundry took a long time, but I spent a good bit of the time chatting with R. between checking on laundry and throwing it in the dryer and checking to see if it was dry.
I had forgotten to take my cell phone with me to work. To my surprise, Mom and Dad hadn't gotten home yet when I got home. Mom said that the drive from southeastern Pennsylvania to the Finger Lakes in New York was five or six hours, but nowadays they need to make three or four rest stops during the drive, so it took longer than that for them to get to the college for the reunion in the first place, and to come home today. They hadn't even tried to call me before or during the trip.
