I got fingerprinted for a job in the early afternoon, and made it to a regular appointment after that.
I dug around in the straw mulch on the side of the hill and located daffodils, tulips, and what I think are hyacinths. Dad said that I should rake the mulch upward, not push it downward. "You'll mess up the crocuses if you rake over them," I said. 'Flower Record' and 'Jeanne d'Arc' are the crocuses blooming on the side of the hill now. There were a couple of appearances from 'Mammoth Yellow' crocuses, but they're subsiding now.
It looks like the hyacinth blooming by the front porch is 'Lady Derby.' It's putting on quite a show.
