Wednesday so far

I went to bed a little after 1:00 a.m., after finishing the last in TJ Klune's Dragon quadrilogy.  I got up for the day a little before 8:30 a.m.

I got fingerprinted for a job in the early afternoon, and made it to a regular appointment after that.

I dug around in the straw mulch on the side of the hill and located daffodils, tulips, and what I think are hyacinths.  Dad said that I should rake the mulch upward, not push it downward.  "You'll mess up the crocuses if you rake over them," I said.  'Flower Record' and 'Jeanne d'Arc' are the crocuses blooming on the side of the hill now.  There were a couple of appearances from 'Mammoth Yellow' crocuses, but they're subsiding now.

It looks like the hyacinth blooming by the front porch is 'Lady Derby.'  It's putting on quite a show.
