Sunday so far

I went to bed at 11:00 p.m.  I got up a little after 8:00 a.m.

It's cold and nasty out today.  I tried to sort out what kinds of spring-blooming heirloom bulbs I had by writing it all down.

I made notes of what was blooming when of the plants in the yard:

Flowers in spring 2018

Snowdrops were in bud on February 20th.  Got back from vacation March 13th, some blooming then, bloomed through March.

Winter honeysuckle in bud in mid-March.  Bloomed late March into mid-April.

Mahonia blooming in mid-April.

Crocuses in “crocus garden” bloomed in March.  New crocuses on the side of the hill blooming: tommies, 'Flower Record,' 'Jeanne d’Arc' and ‘Mammoth Yellow.’

‘Ice Follies’ daffodils started blooming in late March.  Dad’s unidentified one blooming mid-April (white petals, small pure orange cup, yellow stamens).  A few ‘King Alfred’ and unidentified yellow daffodils blooming now.  ‘White Lion’ in bud.

Later Sunday: Mom and I watched "Call the Midwife."  I talked to A. for about half an hour.  He was trying to get over the flu.  There had been a blizzard in Green Bay.
