I made it to church about halfway through the service, and sat in a chair in the annex. Mom was glad I'd made it to the Easter Sunday service. Families were encouraged to take the one of the many potted flowers around the church. I took an Easter lily. Mom had been complaining about how strong the hyacinths smelled, and we have a couple of hyacinths trying near the front porch at home. Dad had been eyeing the tulips, but we have tulips coming up. We have lots of daffodils, too.
I don't have any plans to go out anywhere today. The weather is supposed to be okay this afternoon, so I'll probably return to pruning 'Ispahan', although I'll wear my gauntlets this time.
Early afternoon: P. called. She had forgotten that the buses were running on an Easter schedule and was stuck in [borough]. I drove her back to where she's living now.
I worked on pruning the roses for a while. This time I had gloves on. I didn't get any more splinters.
Mom and I took a walk in the local park.
We watched "Call the Midwife" in the evening. I did some laundry after that.
