I watered the flowering house plants with flower fertilizer, and watered the ferns with water that eggs had been boiled in. Presumably that will give them some calcium. As for the flowering plants, the Christmas cactuses are still going. The yellow jasmine ('Revolutum') is blooming, and the royal jasmine (Jasminium nitidum) has buds. The plants on the windowsill and plant stands in the dining room make it look like a miniature tropical area. The zonal geranium has salmon pink flowers. The pink begonias have buds.
After Mom had had lunch, we went out into the Arctic-influenced air. It had reached about 10 degrees out then, but with a windchill that made it feel much colder. We went to the dollar store for cards for Uncle R.'s birthday, then stopped at the post office to mail them. The post office was extremely busy. We looked at the Walmart parking lot, but there were no spaces. We headed home.
I don't think we'll go out again today.
I texted with L.B. a bit, and with WhiteSheepCBD, and texted with A. about chatting tomorrow evening.
