I have an editing job to do.
A few hours later: I finished the editing job. Mom and Dad and I are talking about going out to a restaurant that offers a free meal to veterans on Veterans' Day.
Later: We went out to a local Applebee's where Dad had a free dinner and Mom and I had the two entrees and an appetizer for $25 special. Mom had ribs. I had the shrimp wonton stir fry, which was spicy. Dad saw a lot of his veteran buddies. The restaurant played the various armed forces anthems. They had a young woman sing the Star-Spangled Banner (badly). Everyone stood for that, and some sang along. No one knelt. I can understand the kneeling as a protest, but it seems to make more people angry than have them get the point. (To my privileged viewpoint, anyway.) It was a nice night out.
I reread The Gilded Scarab and started reading The Jackal's House, but was dozing off early and went to bed.
