I went to bed around 2:00 a.m., but couldn't really get to sleep.  I got up a little after 7:00 a.m.

I took Mom to the orthopedist.  Mom's knee was hurting where she had had a cyst.  The doctor poked around, and said that the cyst must have burst and sent the fluid down her calf.  He prescribed an MRI and said that she was close to needing a total replacement on that knee.  Mom had a little list of her issues.  She mentioned pain in her other knee, pain in her lower back, and pain in one of her wrists and her thumb.  He didn't really say anything about those issues.

We went out and about after that, including to the grocery store.

We had some kids come for Halloween.  Dad mostly answered the door, but I took a look at some of the kids' costumes.

I read Blood from a Stoner.
