Mom is talking about going to Trader Joe's. We'll see.
Friday Night Friends is scheduled to go bowling tonight.
Later: Mom and I went to Trader Joe's, then up to our usual grocery store. Traffic was kind of crazy, and there was construction on Route 202, so it was a rather harrowing drive to Trader Joe's and back. It was a productive trip, though. We got what we wanted.
Dad went to a plant nursery and got ornamental kale with a purple center. This is a bad time of year for Mom and places that sell plants, because she's allergic to chrysanthemums, and even the grocery stores have pots of those for sale this time of year. I'm allergic to some kind of "fall fragrance" thing that some stores have. It may be the cinnamon-scented pinecones that are for sale various places. I had a terrible allergy attack that was non-stop coughing last year at this time in Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts, which I assume was some kind of fall fragrance thing or scented candles. The other week this year, something in the Christmas Tree Shop was making me cough, and I think it was the things that had spicy fall fragrances. Guess I need to take anti-histamines and cough medicine with me this time of year. It's been a really bad hayfever season here anyway, with the weather like it's been -- relatively rainy in the summer, still mostly hot temperatures in the fall so far.
There was a free mystery set in a bakery listed on BookBub. I looked up a number of food mysteries that were in the library. I enjoy those, though I rarely do the recipes from them.
Later than that: I had a decent time at the Friday Night Friends bowling night. I was mostly cheering my teammates on. K. was the only one not using bumpers, but she still won both times. The other two on my team were relatively mellow about the bowling. A.J. was on another team, and she seemed to get mad at herself whenever she didn't get a strike, though she only bowls once in a great while. It's different when it's swimming, which she practices a couple of times a week.
