Saturday so far

I went to bed before 2:00 a.m., after reading some of a book on white people's reaction to black people's accomplishments.  Historically, not good.  Van Jones, a CNN person, called the results of the recent election "whitelash."  I got up a little before 10:00 a.m.

I went through a couple of A.W.'s stories and fixed comma splices and verb tenses.  I chatted a bit with A.W.

B.L. and A.L. and I went to Longwood Gardens.  It was the last day of the Chrysanthemum Festival.  Parts of the East Conservatory and Main Conservatory were blocked off for an evening event, and the Exhibition Hall was completely closed off.  But we saw the rest.  Before that, we had gone to the meadow.  A tram was just taking off as we got there.  We waited for about fifteen minutes, but didn't see another.  We went into the meadow.  We went over the meadow bridge and over the bridge over the hourglass lake.  There were a few mallard ducks on the lake.

Later: Mom and I watched two episodes of "Call the Midwife."  One more episode and we'll be through season two.
