I'll probably go to the grocery store with Mom. She wants to do her big shopping trip of the week.
A few hours later: Mom and I went to the grocery store for a big shopping trip. We filled up the whole shopping cart. TV dinners were on sale, and some kinds of soup. It's good weather for soup. We saw P. I told her I was going to see her sister D. on Saturday, to pick up the pairs of pants she is shortening.
We went home to unpack and have lunch. I called H. and left a message. We headed out again to the department stores. I got winter gloves at Boscov's, and Mom got a raincoat at Macy's. It was a productive trip.
Later: Mom and I watched another couple of episodes of "Call the Midwife." A scene in episode four reminded Mom of when her mother, Nana A., passed away. I knew why Mom started crying, because I was there, too. Mom seems to like the show. It's giving her a lot of Feelings, though.
H. called back when Mom and Dad were at choir practice. I said we were really thinking of coming to Florida in February. She said she'd let Mom's half-sister E. know, E. lives in Boca Raton.
I called A.J. and talked to her and her sister B. We vented our feelings about the election. B. said that A.J. had cried when she heard the results. B.'s friends in California understood, but around here and especially where B. and A.J. live, there were a lot of people happy with the results of the election. B. and A.J. had a lot of feelings, too, like Mom and I and J.-PA and J. and WhiteSheepCBD did.
Later still: Mom and I watched Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon on CNN. They continued to report on reactions to the election.
