I texted a little with WhiteSheepCBD, telling her about the painting class. I based my picture of roses on the picture of the 'Dove' rose my tattoo is based on. I had too thick a brush to get much detail in, but I did shadings of darker pink and lighter pink.
Mom and I will go to the grocery store soon.
Later: Mom and I went to the grocery store. It was a very productive trip. We stopped home and put the groceries away, and then we were off to an independent garden center to get ornamental kale. We can put them in where the pineapple sage is as soon as there's a frost. I'm planning to dig out the geraniums in the raised bed, too. Basically everything is under the pineapple sage, which is blooming and beautiful right now. It will die with the first frost. I will cut back the spearmint, which kind of grew through the pineapple sage. The other things in there are lemon thyme and the new irises. Hopefully they will bloom next year. I didn't plant them as soon and well as I was supposed to, and something dug up the one, necessitating a rescue. It came back, though.
I was going to get two purple kale and a white kale, but Mom said one of each. I never consider what we have room for. I just consider what I think will look good.
Later than that: I finished up my editing job and turned it in. I arranged with A. to talk with him tomorrow. I chatted a little with Riah, and on and off with A.W.
Later still: I talked to A.J. for a little bit. She told me about her vacation on the Outer Banks. We made plans to get together on the 13th.
I watched the first episode of "Luke Cage." I did not watch the rest of the episodes of Jessica Jones beforehand. Luke did not say "Sweet Christmas" in the first episode like he did on Jessica Jones. He was called "Power Man." Someone wanted to hire him for his superpowers and he said, "I'm not for hire." That will change. I will see if the Marvel Powers-That-Be introduce Iron Fist in an episode of Luke Cage. After all, Power Man and Iron Fist were the Heroes for Hire in the comic book of that name.
There were several references to the Harlem Renaissance, and Luke owns the book Invisible Man, the one by Ralph Ellison. I may own it, too. But there was a Langston Hughes name drop, and a Zora Neale Hurston one.
