I watched parts of the Democratic National Convention Wednesday night. I didn't stop watching TV until after midnight, and then went to bed at 12:30 a.m., after having a mug of chamomile tea. I didn't go to sleep for a long time. I must have slipped into a restless, uneasy doze, because I woke up at 3:30 a.m. I took a couple of Advil for my various aches and pains, and a Benedryl capsule. I went back to bed. I didn't go to sleep right away, but eventually drifted off. I woke at 11:15 a.m., feeling pretty well rested. I figure that I had at least seven hours of sleep, and more hours lying in bed.
I got free books from various e-mail promos. I reread the section on ruby-throated hummingbirds in the hummingbird book.
I just got the news that the Friday Night Friends pool party tonight is canceled. There's currently a thunderstorm here, and it's supposed to continue to storm tonight. I'll miss seeing everyone.
Later: Mom and I went to the library, and I got out a bunch of books, some about hummingbirds and some about birds of Pennsylvania.
